- An even number of stresses feels “balanced”, “resolved”, and “stable”
- An odd number of stresses feels “unbalanced”, “unresolved”, and “unstable”
As such, you can use an even number of stresses to stop the sensation of forward motion, and an odd number of stresses to induce the same sensation.
