2-chord trick
The 2-chord trick is a technique that has existed for a long time in modal music but this term is “coined” by 8-bit Music Theory in this video. Effectively you can capture the sound of any mode or scale by using 2 chords that, together, capture the characteristic notes of the mode.
Using slash chords or a pedal point allows you to enforce the modal effect.
