Waves
This is going to consist of me refreshing my high school math knowledge.

- The crest of the wave is the peak
- The trough of the wave is the bottom
- The height of the wave is the distance between the crest and the trough
- Amplitude () is half of the height of the wave.
- In sound waves, this value represents the pitch (frequency)
- Wavelength () is the distance from one crest to the subsequent crest (or trough to trough)
- Period () is the time it takes for a wave to travel through a single wavelength
- This doesn’t really matter in audio though?
- Frequency (), measured in Hertz (Hz) is the number of times a wave passes through a fixed point in a second
- This gives the pitch
